I recently laddered my favourite grey RHTs from Cervin to an unwearable state and I’m still not overly happy about it. The grey colour looked deliciously retro and both the fit and the length were perfect, they were lovely stockings.
We went for a walk through Myer today (a large department store) and found some stockings, but, not only did we find stockings, we found some grey stockings that were on offer! The deal was, buy two pairs of stockings and receive a 20% discount – Yes please!
I bought a pair of Vanessa Levantes in nude, check out my review for these here. The other stockings that I bought were a pair of ‘misty’ coloured, 30 denier Columbine stockings. For now, these will have to replace my lovely Cervins, until I get around to ordering my next pile of stockings from Stockings HQ.
These stockings are brilliant, they fit exactly like the PP nude stockings that I purchased from Target not so long ago. Myer had sold out of the extra tall packs but it’s good to know that the tall version fit my 36 inch legs. Again, these aren’t as good as Nylons but at 7 AUD a pack, these are most definitely excellent value for money. I really wish that the welt was longer, but considering that these are stockings that I will be wearing to work, rather than for a set of photos, it isn’t the end of the world.
The one thing that makes makes these stockings stand apart from the PP nudes is the heel and toe; although these are not real RHTs, the Columbines have a reinforced heel and toe. This is not something that I have seen in cheap stockings like this before and I think it’s great!
Apologies for the quality of the images, we are currently in the process of moving house and all the good cameras are in storage!
