Firstly, I have to take a sec to get all fan girl on you. I LOVE your blog. The photos you post always look amazing.
I was wondering if you could please give me some advice on buying a corset. I was looking at some online and I realised that most stores were asking for a corseted waist measurement. What do you do when you don’t have much experience with corsets and don’t know what your corseted waist measurements are?
Any advice would be amazing. Thank you 🙂
Thanks for your question and the compliments 🙂
Although I own a few good corsets, and I know about my measurements, giving advice to somebody else when I don’t know their body shape and corset requirements is quite difficult.
I would need to know a lot more information about you and your body; for example, are you planning on wearing this corset over or under your clothes? What is your body type? Do you want over or under bust? How low do your ribs come down? etc…
I tried on a baby corset at What Katie Did and was really excited about it. It turned out that that corset was not right for me at all. I wouldn’t have ever known that without trying it on first. So if you are able to try a corset on to see how it fits, that would be a very good start.
If you could provide a photograph and/ or measurements, that would be a very good start as well as the type of corset that you are interested in, I might be able to help a bit. However, I would 100% recommend that you check out Lucy’s Corsetry blog, she has an incredible amount of knowledge and has a brilliant page full of information that might help.
Sorry that I can’t be more helpful on this occasion, I just don’t want to give you any bad advice.
