Last Sunday I had my very first photo shoot! My boy and I usually take photos together, which is a really chilled experience; he will tell me if I look good or not at a certain angle, I am able to try different things out in front of him, and he just generally makes me feel comfortable. Before the shoot on morning however, I was absolutely petrified! What if they didn’t like my underwear, what if they thought I looked horrific in the photos, what if they got bored of photographing me?? I had so many concerns, but I shouldn’t have worried.
A while ago I contacted Photography with a theme meet up about modelling for them in my vintage lingerie; they replied saying that they would be very interested in setting up a session with me, which was great! For those of you that don’t know, Meetup.com is a website where people can set up their own meet up groups, depending on their location and interests and find like-minded people to hang out with. This particular group was obviously aimed at photographers in Sydney, but there are plenty of others out there, such as my meet up group, Sydney Vintage (which you Sydney ladies and gentlemen should join!).
There were four guys photographing me and they were all 100% lovely and decent with me. There was also an amazing makeup artist there called Margaux who did an amazing job of transforming my face from morning beast to human, you should check out her work, she’s extremely talented.
Anyway, I thought I would share some behind the scenes with you all until I get hold of the final photos!
In the first half of the shoot, I wore peach, white and cream lingerie from What Katie Did, Rago Shapewear and also also some vintage pieces.
The second half was slightly more fetish orientated, I wore Revival lingerie and What Katie Did…and my custom made bull whip 🙂
I have learned so much from this one shoot, and I can’t wait to do it again!
