When I first started dating my boy, we were living in London. I knew that he liked retro underwear and I also knew that he loved seamed hosiery. As I wasn’t in the know back then, I wasn’t too sure where to get good stuff from. I thought I could walk into somewhere like Marks & Spencer which I knew had a massive underwear range and wasn’t too expensive, and walk out with a suspender belt and stockings. So I set off on my underwear mission, full of enthusiasm and excitement. A few hours later I was an agitated mess. There was nothing, I couldn’t find a single pair of stockings or anything to hold them up. I bought a pair of hold ups, which barely fit around my thighs, and then proceeded to fall down. They got ditched straight away.
Having been to a Westfield, and various other shops in the city, and failed, I decided to head over to Camden. I thought I would at least find a pair of stockings there, Camden is very quirky and alternative and I had high hopes. I eventually found a pair of contrast seamed TIGHTS, which I bought and considered the mission a success. Once I got home, I needed to get ready for drinks with the boy, so I opened the pack of tights and pulled them up my legs. If you’ve met me, you will know that I am quite tall, my legs come up to my armpits, which is slightly inconvenient when it comes to clothing myself. I yanked the tights all the way up my long legs and ripped them straight away (I have since learned how to put on hosiery without ripping them). Anyway, long story short, I went out and met the boy in standard underwear and wished I had known where to buy good underwear.
So, if you’re in Sydney city centre and want to find some undergarments in high street stores, I have done some research and found out what is available! please let me know if you have found anything else.
