Happy New Year everyone!!!
I’m kicking off 2018 with some mini videos to help you get started with stockings. I hope you like them. If you have any other ideas that you would like me to film, please let me know in the comments. Of course, the suspender belt and stockings used in the videos are from my own line, which can be found here.
First, gather the stocking up in your hand, please don’t put on a stocking without doing this first or you could shred them!
Then, gently put your toes in, adjusting the stockings if needed, and then over your heel.
Once the stocking is over your foot, gently pull the stocking up, bit by bit, all the way up to the top of your thigh.
Finally, clip your suspender belt to your stocking and make any final adjustments as needed. And yes, I like to do up my back clip like I think I’m a gymnast, do that bit however works for you.
My second mini video is a quick guide to clipping your suspender clips to your stockings.
It’s really important that you push the little button allllllll the way down to the bottom of the clip. If you don’t, they could come undone and then you might end up with stockings around your ankles, which is AWKWARD.
Lastly, adjust the length of your suspender belt straps so your stockings don’t wrinkle. Aaaand you’re ready to go!
My final mini video is a guide to putting on seamed stockings.
Gather the stocking in your hand, ensuring that the heel and the seam stay as straight as possible.
Gently pull over toes then heel, keeping the contrast part of the stocking foot straight, as well as the heel of the stocking.
Place your index finger and thumb either side of the seam and use them to guide the seam up your leg. This takes practice so don’t worry if you don’t get it right the first time.
You can gently adjust the heel and seam by sliding the wonky sections with your palm (rather than pinching the stocking). Don’t forget that the more straps you wear, the straighter your seams will stay.
